# Fine-tuning platforms

> Fine-tuning teaches a model your format, tone or task from your own examples. There are three ways in. Together AI, Fireworks, Google Cloud and AWS run managed jobs: upload a dataset, pay per training token, call the tuned model. Tinker sits in the middle: you write the training loop in Python, it runs the GPUs. Unsloth and Axolotl are free, open-source trainers for hardware you control. OpenAI's fine-tuning is closed to new users and winding down, so it isn't here. Training tokens are your dataset times the number of epochs, so a small clean dataset beats a big messy one on the bill too.

- [Unsloth](https://digidle.com/tools/unsloth/): You have one GPU, or a free Colab, and want to fine-tune on it today.
- [Axolotl](https://digidle.com/tools/axolotl/): You run your own cluster and want one config file from dataset to multi-node training.
