## About Aruma

Open-source (Apache-2.0) self-hosted backend for apps built on the official Firebase SDKs: one Go binary plus PostgreSQL 18 with an embedded dashboard, serving Auth, Realtime Database, Cloud Storage, Security Rules and a Firestore-compatible document database, so on supported setups you change the config file, not your app code. No Cloud Functions; Cloud Messaging, App Check and Remote Config are planned. Pre-1.0 (v0.4.0); run it with Docker Compose or a release binary.

Official site: https://tablepro.app. Tags: database-client, macos, mcp, open-source.
- [Egres](https://digidle.com/tools/egres.md): Open-source (Apache-2.0) Postgres-compatible database written in Zig by Dgraph founder Manish Jain for heavy, multi-tenant workloads: speaks the Postgres protocol so psql, drivers and ORMs connect unchanged, runs on local disk or S3, compresses storage, needs no VACUUM, branches databases and tables instantly and meters resources per query. First release is single node with basic queries (equality-only, no joins). Official site: https://egresql.io. Tags: postgres, database, open-source.
